Mouse On Mars
Mouse on Mars is a German electronic duo comprising Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma, formed in Düsseldorf in 1993. Their practice merges IDM, drum and bass, noise, and pop into a playful and formally experimental body of work that has remained consistently inventive across three decades. Releasing on Too Pure and then Sonig, albums including Iaora Tahiti (1995), Autoditacker (1997), and Radical Connector (2004) established a sound defined by lush digital glitch, danceable rhythms, and an irreverent approach to genre constraint. They have collaborated widely — with Mark E. Smith of The Fall, Dodo NKishi, and others — and continue to record and perform.
