MNNN
Born in Mexico City in 1979 and based in Berlin since 2008, Mario de Vega is a sound artist and Professor for Sound at Kunsthochschule Kassel whose practice spans site-specific interventions, psychoacoustics, and performative situations pushing the limits of audible perception. MNNN is his DJ alias, taken to venues including Berghain in Berlin, 20Alpha in Hong Kong, LUFF in Lausanne, and the Sanatorium of Sound in Sokołowsko. Rooted in experimental music and conceptual art, his DJ work extends a practice built on unstable systems, extreme frequencies, and the indeterminate edges of listening.
