Mike Parker

Mike Parker is an American electronic musician based in New York. Working in a space that merges industrial techno, minimal techno, and deep electronic composition, his productions on Geophone and other labels pursue an inward, almost ritualistic listening experience. Albums including Dispatches from the Metaphysical (2012) and Lustrations (2017) are dense with sub-bass and slowly evolving pattern structures. His music is associated with a strand of New York techno that traces connections to early Detroit while pursuing more abstract and psychedelic effects. He has influenced a generation of producers working between club and experimental electronic contexts.
