Miguel Álvarez-Fernández

Born in Madrid in 1979, he is a Spanish sound artist, composer, filmmaker, theorist, and curator working between Madrid and Berlin. He studied composition at the Conservatory of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and worked as a composer and researcher at the Electronic Music Studio of the Technical University of Berlin from 2005 to 2008. Since 2008 he has hosted the weekly programme Ars Sonora on Radio Clásica, part of Spanish National Radio. He lectures at the University of Oviedo and the European University of Madrid, and his writing has been published across Europe and the Americas.
