Michi Zaugg

Based in Basel, he is a Swiss musician, DJ, and central figure in the city's experimental music scene. He co-founded the Klappfon concert series dedicated to experimental music and initiated the Trinational Network Transborder, connecting experimental arts communities across the Swiss, French, and German border region. For over a decade he performed with MIR, a Basel trio whose sound was described as dance music for Klingons, situated between industrial, krautrock, and noise, releasing their final record WM in 2021. He also runs the Plattfon record store in Basel, known for its collection of industrial, noise, and underground music.
