Michel Redolfi
Born in Marseille in 1951, he is a French composer and co-founder of the Groupe de musique expérimentale de Marseille in 1968. He pioneered underwater concert music, staging the first underwater performance in San Diego Bay in 1982 with Sonic Waters, in which the audience listened while submerged. He later directed the Centre International de Recherche Musicale and the MANCA festival in Nice until 1998. His electroacoustic works have been commissioned by the GRM and realized in venues across Europe and North America. In 2002 he founded Audionaute, a studio specializing in sound design for cultural spaces and multimedia scenography.
