Méryll Ampe

Sculptor and sound artist based in Paris who trained in wood sculpture at École Boulle before studying plastic and sound creation at Beaux-Arts Paris-Cergy. Ampe works primarily with analog sources — oscillators, filters, drum machines — approaching sound as a medium to be sculpted in real time. In performance, hydrophone recordings, analog synthesizers, tape, and digital processing are reconfigured into dense bursts of abstract noise and rhythmic saturation. Work has been presented at Les Instants Chavirés, Présences Electronique Festival, Sonic Protest Festival, and Centre Pompidou, alongside festivals in Tunisia, Mexico, and elsewhere in Europe.
