Max Eilbacher

Max Eilbacher is a Baltimore-based intermedia artist and computer musician. His work draws on electroacoustic composition, American noise, modular synthesis, generative computer programs, field recordings, and found sounds. He plays bass and electronics in the avant-rock quartet Horse Lords — known for just intonation and algorithmic composition — and has collaborated with Matmos. Solo releases include Schizophrenia as Architecture (NNA Tapes, 2016), Dual Monologues in Parallel (Mondoj, 2017), Here a Peak, There an Abyss (Anòmia, 2020), VL #5 'Beamforming a Temporary City' (2021), and MAX EILBACHER (Ultraviolet Light, 2023). He previously played in Teeth Mountain.
