Maurizio Bianchi
Italian composer born on 4 December 1955 in Pomponesco who began producing electronic music in 1979, initially releasing cassettes under the alias Sacher-Pelz. Inspired by Tangerine Dream, Conrad Schnitzler, and Throbbing Gristle, he developed a practice rooted in industrial noise and dark ambience, with a stated goal of producing technological sounds that reflect modern decadence. His 1981 debut album Symphony for a Genocide set the tone for a prolific and uncompromising early output. He withdrew from music-making before returning in 1998, encouraged by Alga Marghen founder Emanuele Carcano, releasing new recordings and reissues through EEs'T Records over the following decades.
