Martijn van Boven

Born in the Netherlands in 1977, Martijn van Boven studied at the Royal Art Academy in The Hague and has worked at the intersection of experimental film, computer-generated image, and sound since the early 2000s. He co-founded the TAG Media Center in The Hague in 2003 and joined the curatorial team of Sonic Acts, the Amsterdam festival working at the intersection of art, music, and science, in 2005. He headed the Design Art Technology department at ArtEZ Institute from 2012 to 2021. His films and video installations have been presented at festivals including IFF Rotterdam, Transmediale, and Ars Electronica.
