Mark Fell

Born in Rotherham in 1966, Mark Fell studied experimental film and video art before returning to computational music and synthetic sound. He first gained wider recognition through SND, his duo with Mat Steel whose minimal algorithmic techno appeared on Mille Plateaux and Raster-Noton. His solo practice spans spatial sound, installation, choreography, and critical writing, and draws on contemporary philosophy, subcultural history, and radical politics. His work has been presented at MoMA, the Barbican, the Serpentine, Whitechapel Gallery, and MACBA, among many others.
