Mario de Vega

Mario de Vega is an artist working at the intersection of sound, space, and the body. His practice privileges situations over objects, investigating how sound operates as a material force that shapes perception, bodily experience, and social relations.

Through large-scale spatial interventions, durational performances, and intimate one-to-one encounters, his work constructs conditions in which proximity, vibration, and attention become the primary media.

Since 2020, he has been Professor of Sound at Kunsthochschule Kassel.
