María Bonita
Co-founder of the Mexico City synth-cabaret duo María Bonita alongside his brother Mateo Lafontaine, Mario Lafontaine González shaped the project's lyrics and vocals between 1982 and 1984, blending electronics with cabaret theatrics and absurdist performance in the city's LGBTQ+ underground. After that run he built a career as creative director and music specialist, spending over two decades on Luis de Llano's team at Televisa and designing artwork for more than sixty albums, including Caifanes' debut and Fobia's Mundo Feliz. He has worked as a music commentator alongside Horacio Villalobos across Telehit, MVS, and ADN 40, and currently co-hosts Old's Kool on 106.5 Mix FM in Mexico City.
