Marcus Pal

Marcus Pal is a Swedish-origin sound artist and composer working internationally, focused on harmonic sound, just intonation, and the phenomenology of tonal perception. He studied with La Monte Young and Marian Zazeela in New York (2013–2014) at the Church Street Dream House and has been a regular collaborator with Catherine Christer Hennix since 2014. His theoretical work draws on 10th–11th-century Buddhist and Pratyabhijña Śaiva philosophy. He composes for acoustic instruments and digital synthesis and has presented work through Blank Forms, Fylkingen, and Amant.
