Marco Fusinato

Marco Fusinato, born 1964 in Melbourne, works across visual art and noise music, treating the electric guitar and mass amplification as tools for durational, overwhelming sound. His long-running Spectral Arrows performances, begun in 2012, cast the guitar as a signal generator producing hours of saturated feedback. He has shown in the Venice Biennale (2015), São Paulo Biennale (2012), and Sydney Biennale (2018), and represented Australia at the 2022 Venice Biennale with DESASTRES, playing live noise for the entire 200-day run while an algorithm pulled images from web searches onto a giant screen. His recordings, released since 1996, sit between noise culture and institutional art.
