Mabe Fratti

Born in Guatemala City in 1992, Mabe Fratti is a classically trained cellist and vocalist who relocated to Mexico City in 2015 through a Goethe Institute residency, quickly becoming a central figure in its experimental and free-improvising scene. Her solo debut Pies Sobre La Tierra appeared in 2019, followed by Se Ve Desde Aquí in 2022 and Sentir Que No Sabes in 2024. She is a member of the avant-garde collective Amor Muere and records with partner Héctor Tosta as Titanic. Her practice layers extended cello technique with processing and voice, resisting easy genre categorisation.
