Luke Slater

Luke Slater is a British techno producer and DJ, active since the late 1980s and among the most rigorous figures in European underground techno. Recording under his own name and under aliases including Planetary Assault Systems and The 7th Plain, he has produced a body of work that explores the full formal range of techno — from deep atmospheric compositions to brutal industrial-influenced dance floor music. His Planetary Assault Systems alias is associated with a dark, high-energy techno that has been influential on the development of the contemporary Berlin techno scene. He founded the Mote-Evolver label as a platform for his own releases and for collaborators working in a similar vein.
