Lukas Grundmann
Based in Berlin, he studied Cultural Studies and Digital Media in Lüneburg before completing a degree in Sound Studies at the University of the Arts Berlin, where he now teaches in the MA programme. His installations and performances explore relations between medium and message, signal and noise, and temporality, often using turntables as improvising instruments. He is a board member of Cashmere Radio and runs Chronopolis, a programme for generative music on that station, co-hosted with Jacob Eriksen and Gregor Pfeffer. His album timestretched-ACID subjects two TB-303 synthesizers to a sequence of laboratory-like interventions.
