Lucrecia Martel

Lucrecia Martel is an Argentine film director, screenwriter, and producer, born on December 14, 1966, in Salta, Argentina. Considered one of Latin America's leading auteurs, she studied at the Avellaneda Experimental film school and ENERC in Buenos Aires. Her feature films — La Ciénaga (2001), La niña santa (2004), La mujer sin cabeza (2008), and Zama (2017) — have been presented at Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Toronto, establishing her as a major figure in contemporary world cinema.
