Lucio Capece

Born in Argentina in 1968, he completed studies in classical guitar and jazz saxophone at the Ginastera Conservatory in Morón, Buenos Aires, taking further lessons in bass clarinet and improvisation in Lyon with Louis Sclavis, as well as in New York and Chicago. He has lived in Berlin since 2004, where he develops work focused on the perceptual qualities of architectural and social spaces, playing soprano saxophone, bass clarinet, analog electronics, and a set of wireless speakers attached to helium balloons. His collaborators include Radu Malfatti, Mika Vainio, Kevin Drumm, and Toshimaru Nakamura.
