Luciano Maggiore

Born in Palermo and now based in London, he works with speakers, samplers, CD players, walkmans, and tape recorders to address the performativity of the musical act and the perception of sound diffusion. From 2004 to 2007 he collaborated with Xing in Bologna, co-curating with Valerio Tricoli the Desco Music series of electronic and electroacoustic concerts at Raum. With Louie Rice he runs NO-PA/PA-ON, a project for score-based acoustic and amplified works, and his recordings appear on labels including Boring Machines, Consumer Waste, Kohlhaas, and TakuRoku.
