Luca Garino

Active in Turin since 1996, he is a self-taught composer and sound artist who pursued further research in computer music at LaSDIM, the laboratory for experimentation in musical informatics. His practice spans electroacoustic and concrete music, field recording, and ethnological research, and he has been a consistent organiser of experimental music events in Turin. Among his projects are the collaborative groups Blind Beast and Malaria POP, and his solo releases include The Woodcarver, works drawing on field recordings from across northern Italy.
