Lorenzo Abattoir

Based in Saluzzo, Piemonte, Abattoir is a sound artist who works with objects, broken electronics, and extended vocal technique to build noise and electroacoustic music of considerable physical intensity. Active since the mid-2010s, he runs the solo project Nascitari alongside collaborative units including the LACH duo with Clive Henry. His 2023 album Disincarnazione analyses sounds produced by the human body through breathing techniques and close-microphone recording, while Abstersion explores the internal resonance of a prepared upright piano.
