Liz Allbee

Born in Vermont in 1976 and based in Berlin, she is a composer, performer, and improviser who plays trumpet, electronics, voice, and conch, as well as a self-designed quadraphonic trumpet capable of projecting several independent channels of sound simultaneously. Her practice spans electroacoustic composition, extended technique, noise, and experimental rock. While living in San Francisco she performed with Anthony Braxton, Fred Frith, and the Rova Saxophone Quartet. She has since appeared at Donaueschingen, Darmstadt, Maerzmusik, Huddersfield, CTM, Berlin JazzFest, and Berghain, among other international venues.
