Leyland Kirby
Leyland Kirby is a British artist and musician best known for The Caretaker project, through which he developed a long-running exploration of memory, deterioration, and dementia using decayed ballroom recordings processed into increasingly fragmented states. The project culminated in the six-part Everywhere at the End of Time (2016–2019), a six-stage representation of dementia's progression that reached a wide audience. Under his own name he has released more personal and emotionally direct recordings. He has also released under the V/Vm alias, known for provocative sampling and noise-adjacent work.
