Laibach
Laibach is a Slovenian industrial and conceptual band formed in Trbovlje in 1980, operating as a subgroup of the Neue Slowenische Kunst collective. Their work deploys totalitarian aesthetics, bombastic arrangements, and cover versions of popular and classical music to explore ideology, power, and collective identity through irony and overidentification. Albums including Rekapitulacija 1980–1984, Opus Dei (1987), and Let It Be (1988) established their confrontational method. They have performed in North Korea, released scores, and collaborated across visual art, theatre, and film.
