Kristina Guison

Kristina Guison is a Manila-born, Toronto-based Filipino-Canadian multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, installation, performance and sound. A 2016 OCAD University sculpture and installation graduate, she builds sound sculptures from modified time-keeping devices, tools and found objects, probing globalization and transnational identity across pre-colonial, colonial and post-colonial histories. Her practice moves between gallery installation and live performance, alongside hand-poked tattooing drawing on Southeast Asian traditions. She performs regularly in Toronto's experimental scene, including as one third of the trio Triptych with Colin Cudmore and Colby Richardson.
