Kristen Roos

Vancouver-based electronic musician, sound artist, and educator whose practice spans composition, sound installation, radio art, media archaeology, printmaking, and textiles. Described by The Guardian as a virtual one-man Radiophonic Workshop and praised by The Wire for two beguiling electronic albums, he has exhibited across Canada, the United States, and Europe. His Universal Synthesizer Interface series explores vintage MIDI sequencing software from the 1980s and 1990s. He also works in sound design for dance and theatre and performs in the duo Spell with prOphecy sun.
