Konrad Smoleski

Born in 1977 and a graduate of the Poznan Academy of Fine Arts in 2002, he lives and works between Warsaw and Bern. His practice deploys high-wattage amplification, custom-built PA systems, and tolling bells to explore the physical and political energy of sound. The installation Everything Was Forever, Until It Was No More represented Poland at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013. Since 2007 he has performed with Daniel Szwed as the duo BNNT, staging sonic interventions from a van stage in urban spaces and art institutions across Europe.
