Knifedoutofexistence

Knifedoutofexistence is the solo noise project of Dean Lloyd Robinson, a Brighton, UK musician who also runs the label Outsider Art. First performed live in 2013 after years of planning, the project pursues sound Robinson finds personally satisfying, unbound by conventional musical structure. Its name comes from a sample at the end of Column of Heaven's Ecstatically Embracing All That We Habitually Suppress. Working alone with objects, gear and vocals, Robinson builds howling distortion, tape loops, scraped metal and warped field recordings, fixated on the duality of catharsis and its suppression. Releases include Cracks Below the Surface, Immaturity of Movement and Inhibitors.
