Klaus Weber

Born in 1967 in Sigmaringen, Germany, he lives and works in Berlin. His practice brings together kinetic objects, sound, scent, and absurdist social intervention to probe the edges of public and political space. The sculpture Large Wind Chime generates deep dissonant tones derived from the tritone and the Arab 17-tone scale. Solo exhibitions include a survey at the Vienna Secession in 2008 and projects at Frieze Projects London, Mori Art Museum Tokyo, Hayward Gallery London, Nottingham Contemporary, and KW Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin. He is represented by Andrew Kreps Gallery, New York.
