Klára Hosnedlová

Klára Hosnedlová (b. 1990) is a Czech visual artist based in Prague whose work centres on immersive interior environments combining hand embroidery, textile, photography, and sculpture to construct detailed social atmospheres. Her large-scale installations transform gallery spaces into environments evoking domestic and public interiors — salons, reception rooms, lobbies — decorated through the labour-intensive application of embroidery to walls, furniture, and surfaces. This practice raises questions about femininity, craft labour, decoration, and the social dimensions of interior space, situating traditionally female processes within major contemporary institutions.
