Kimokal

A Jakarta-based duo formed in early 2014 by music producer and lecturer Kimo Rizky and vocalist Kallula Harsynta Esterlita, their name combining their first names after social media constraints prevented the use of an ampersand. Kimo produces disco-inflected electronic tracks while Kallula contributes vocals, and together they draw from psychedelic, nu-wave, dub, electronic, and pop without settling into a single genre. Their debut single Under Your Spell appeared in May 2014. Their album O, released in 2022, represents their most recent full-length statement of an evolving sound built from layered electronic textures and melodic mood.
