Kevin Saunderson

Kevin Saunderson is one of the Belleville Three alongside Juan Atkins and Derrick May, Detroit schoolfriends credited with founding techno after absorbing European electronic music and radio DJ the Electrifying Mojo's eclectic sets. In 1987 he launched KMS Records, releasing his own productions as Reese and Kreem, including the bass staple Just Want Another Chance. That year he also formed Inner City with vocalist Paris Grey, scoring worldwide hits with Big Fun and Good Life on Atlantic. Saunderson's fusion of Chicago house structures with Detroit's machine sensibility helped carry techno onto pop charts. He remains an active producer and DJ.
