Kathy Hinde
Kathy Hinde is a British audio-visual artist and composer whose practice centres on kinetic sound sculptures, newly invented instruments, and site-specific installations inspired by natural phenomena. She works with handmade objects, electronics, and blends of digital and analogue systems, often generative and evolving in form. Her work has toured extensively across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australasia. Awards include the Ivor Novello Award for Sound Art (2020), British Composer Award in Sonic Art (2017), Prix Ars Electronica Honorary Mention (2015), and an Honorary Doctorate from Bath Spa University (2023).
