Kai Fagachinski

Born in 1974 in Dannenberg, Lower Saxony, he is a self-taught clarinetist and composer based in Berlin, where he has been a central figure in the city's improvised music scene since the 1990s. His practice focuses on the subtle musicality of sound and noise phenomena, with particular attention to psychoacoustic effects. He co-founded the clarinet duo The International Nothing with Michael Thieke, and has worked with The Magic I.D. and Los Glissandinos. He has performed across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia, appearing at major festivals and venues in over twenty countries.
