Jürgen Eckloff

Sound artist and filmmaker born in East Berlin in 1978 whose audio work focuses on the deconstruction of language and the mechanisms of communication through concrete music, field recordings, and electroacoustic composition. Since 2001 he has run the label 90% Wasser with Robert Schalinski, and together with Schalinski and René Lamp he was a core member of the influential Berlin artist collective Column One until the group disbanded in 2016. He has produced works for radio and released numerous records, and lives and works in the Havelland region north of Berlin.
