Juan Pablo Villegas

Juan-Pablo Villegas (b. 1986, Mexico City) is a multidisciplinary artist working across film, sound, performance, and photography. His practice takes body perception and external stimuli as its starting points, investigating how these shape both personal and collective experience. In recent years his research has addressed the expansion of the sensible spectrum, the animist condition of objects, the materiality of memory, and the formation of the psychosomatic. He runs eseeme, a project space in downtown Mexico City.
