Jøran Rudi
Norwegian composer who has worked with electroacoustic tools since the early 1980s, trained in computer music at New York University. Between 1993 and 2010 he directed NOTAM, the Norwegian Centre for Technology, Art and Music, which he built into the leading institution for digital music in Norway. He published Elektrisk Musikk i Norge in 2019, a comprehensive history of electroacoustic music and technology in his country. He currently holds a professorship at the Centre for Research in New Music (CeReNeM) at the University of Huddersfield, where his work has shifted toward historical and contextual research.
