José Wolffer
José Wolffer is a Mexico City-born cultural manager, curator, and music critic. He studied piano at the National School of Music at UNAM and orchestral conducting at the Vienna Conservatory. In 2002 he founded Festival Radar, a yearly cycle of concerts, conferences, and educational activities centred on experimental and new music, which ran until 2011. He served as general director of FMX–Festival de México from 2007 to 2010, headed Casa del Lago from 2017 to 2019, and was general director of Música UNAM from 2020 to 2024. He has developed curatorial work for Radio UNAM, the National Phonotheque, and 17 Instituto de Estudios Críticos, and has written for Letras Libres and Reforma.
