Joonas Siren

Born in 1983, this Helsinki-based interdisciplinary artist graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2013, also completing the joint Nordic Sound Art programme across five Scandinavian art academies in 2012. His installations combine programming, sound, and physical objects to address political and philosophical concerns. Under the name Forces he produces densely atomised electronic music using live-coding and processing techniques, releasing on labels including Infinite Machine and Genot Centre. He co-organises Algorave Helsinki and has appeared in mixes by Aphex Twin and ZULI.
