Jonathan Scherk

Jonathan Scherk is a musician and composer releasing on the Berlin-based Faitiche label, founded by Jan Jelinek. His album Toon presents compositions that work at the boundary of electronic music and structural playfulness, drawing on the label's commitment to music that engages with systems, repetition, and sonic material with rigour and wit. Faitiche has published work by Jelinek, Masayoshi Fujita, and others interested in music that foregrounds process and material. Scherk's contribution to the label continues this inquiry into the formal possibilities of electronic composition.
