Joachim Nordwall

Joachim Nordwall is a Swedish musician, composer, and label operator whose work spans harsh noise, drone, and dark electronics. He runs the iDEAL Recordings label, which has released work by artists including Merzbow, Consumer Electronics, Ramleh, and many others important to the noise and industrial music underground. As a musician under his own name, he creates recordings and performs live in ways that draw on the extreme ends of experimental electronic music. His dual role as artist and label operator has made him a central figure in the European noise underground.
