Jesse Paul Miller
Jesse Paul Miller is a Canadian sound artist and musician whose practice is rooted in extended field recording and radio art. His recordings document the sound environments of Southeast Asia gathered between 2008 and 2017, compiled on Dream Boxes and Psychic Microphones (2024). Working across cassettes, radio broadcasts, telephone exchanges, and environmental sound, he captures the acoustic texture of urban and rural life across countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar. His approach combines documentary impulse with compositional sensitivity, allowing the material to accumulate its own internal logic through juxtaposition and duration.
