Jensen Interceptor

Jensen Interceptor is the alias of Mikey Melas, an Australian producer and DJ named, as the moniker suggests, after the boxy 1970s British grand tourer rather than anything futuristic. Emerging from Sydney with releases on local label Motorik! from 2012 onward, he refined a potent strain of electro steeped in Drexciya, Dopplereffekt and Kraftwerk, updated with an icy edge, issuing records through Boys Noize Records, Sheffield's Central Processing Unit and Shall Not Fade. His 2018 debut album Mother, on Maceo Plex's Lone Romantic imprint, drew wide acclaim. He has since relocated from Sydney to Berlin, and runs the house project Anthony Fade with Brendon Zacharias.
