JASSS

JASSS is the project of Silvia Jiménez Álvarez (b. 1984), a Spanish artist and musician from Asturias, based in Berlin since 2011, whose work operates at the intersection of electronic music, noise, and club culture. Her practice draws on references from industrial music and power electronics to EBM and techno, producing a sound that is simultaneously formal and physically immediate. She has released on labels including Mannequin and Where To Now?, building a body of work consistent in its engagement with tension, density, and the corporeal dimensions of sound. As a resident DJ at Herrensauna and a touring performer, she brings the same rigour to extended, genre-crossing sets.
