Jason Kahn

Jason Kahn is an American musician, sound artist, and visual artist based in Zürich. Working since the 1990s as a drummer and percussionist in improvised and free jazz contexts, he subsequently developed a practice of electroacoustic improvisation, installation, and synthesis. He founded the Cut label in Zürich to release his own work and that of others engaged in experimental music and sound art. His performances and recordings explore resonance, space, and duration through sine waves, acoustic percussion, and electronic processing. He has collaborated with Toshiya Tsunoda, Sachiko M, and many others, and has taught and performed internationally.
