Jason Forrest

Jason Forrest (also known as Donna Summer) is an American electronic musician and producer working in breakcore and plunderphonics-influenced sample culture. Releasing on Cock Rock Disco and other labels, his music deploys dense, humorous, and often disorienting collages of pop samples, heavy metal, and electronic beats into unpredictable assemblages. Albums including The Unrelenting Songs of the 1979 Post Disco Crash (2003) and Shamelessly Exciting (2005) demonstrated a keen satirical intelligence within the noise and breakcore underground. He has also worked as a DJ and label curator, championing music at the intersection of noise and dance culture.
