James McVinnie
James McVinnie is a British organist based in London, widely regarded as one of the leading interpreters of contemporary music for the instrument. He has premiered works by Steve Reich, Nico Muhly, Tristan Perich, and Anna Meredith, and recorded Perich's Interval Studies for organ and 1-bit electronics. He has held positions at Westminster Abbey and St. George's Windsor, and performed at the BBC Proms, Barbican, Carnegie Hall, and Muziekgebouw. His recordings appear on Bedroom Community and other labels, and he has collaborated extensively with composers at the intersection of classical, minimalist, and electronic music.
