Jaime Allen
Born in Windsor, Ontario, he is an artist, researcher, and engineer whose practice examines what technologies reveal about individuals and societies. He has worked as an electronics engineer, a polymer chemist, and an exhibit maker at the American Museum of Natural History, and has taught at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program and the Royal College of Art. His PhD, completed summa cum laude in 2015, developed a materialist philosophy of technical infrastructures supervised by Siegfried Zielinski and Avital Ronell. He currently holds a Canada Research Chair in Infrastructure, Media and Communications at NSCAD University in Halifax.
